Me, Ahkwong and Nkwai came to this Malaysia International Automotive Parts and Acessories Exhibition at Bukit Jalil Putra station by Sunday last week and before that we were on duty for photo shootings. The carpark feed is RM 2 and RM 5 for the Entrance fees. The title sound goods but actually was ok ok only and a bit dissapoint. Anyhow still got a few shots to post it here.

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition (MIFC): Spain team

Last Sunday I came to Putra Jaya with Ahkwong, Nkwai and Anston. Sorry for late updates due to busy this few days. Nothing much to said about this team and I know many people had been complaining about the rain and weather. Anyhow, Spain team Fireworks was the best so far I seen.

Before the fireworks start, I shot a landscape pics from the view of PICC. The view is best compare with other spot unless I have to climb over the moutain in the opposite and shot back PICC…lolz.

Carlo Rino Fashion Show at Berjaya Timesquare

Suppose to posing fireworks pictures today but still got many fashion photos left behind. I believe that many people have posing fireworks so I might postpone it by tomorrow. This fashion show was happen two weeks ago, I still remember I was rushing like hell that day as the show start by 1pm and the same time I was finish working at my office. I shoot it at the middle session while i reach there, I really no time to change lens so just went near the stage and using my 50 mm.

This was a Carlo Rino’ s Fashion show, main products was zhoes, handbags, belt and wallet. By the way, I should more concentrate on shooting the products lolz but I still take it as experience.

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition(MIFC): China Team

We came early to one of the shooting spot at Putra Jaya which located the left size of the PICC. I don’t know how to explain the direction but if you guys want to know it you can ask Ahkwong. On the 16th Saturday I came with Nkwai, Ahkwong and Myin. We met up with Kimfei, kimfei’s dearest and Sleepyhao.

Before the fireworks start we went to shot around the environment.

The sky was blue that day and I try to attempt with my CPL to shot the structure with the sky.

The fireworks delay until 10 pm that night, I found the wind blowing to the right site and the fireworks’ smoke really annoy while in the shooting session. By no choice, I have to raise up to F 12-16. Not going to write more about it so let the pictures below explain itself.

Justin meet the fans session at Sungei Wang Concourse

I rushing to Sungei wang yesterday 5.30pm and reach in time by 5.45pm. Lucky thier was still some place for me to stuck in. I only have a 50mm prime lens that time and a FZ50 for backup, if the range to far I have to change to FZ50. By the way, I am suppose to buy tele lens yesterday but too bad the shop cannot offer with a cheaper price.

The effords from the fans below. I try get a chance to snap those with LED lights one but too bad as they just facing the stage.

People around trying to snap anything they could. Got live view is good!!! but I try to use back the old style.

Justin Lo will meet his Malaysian fans at 6.00pm on 15th August 2008 at the Concourse Level of Sungei Wang Plaza.Justin, Hong Kong-based American singer-songwriter and record producer will be in town to promote his concert ‘Air Justin 08 Live in Genting Highlands’. I am not going explain much so just let the photos below explain itself.

Nikonian Photography Talks and Tips at Ikano : Day 2

We came here for the next day to seek for more interesting talks and models shooting. Before reach Ikano we went to One Utama 1st for the Animax Custom Contest shooting session but I didn’t manage to shot a lot from there.

About 30 minutes we stay at One Utama after that we switch to Ikano for the Nikoninan Photography talks and tips. Oh ya!!! forget to mention who was coming to this event last week and they was Hiew, Nkwai, Ahkwong, Lee Peng and Anston.

Thankz for Hiew borrowing me his tele lens. Although it was beyond F4 but under some light condition it still roxks!!! Got image stabilization is not the same lor. I try to shoot on a gal from full tele range 250mm as below. The result is slighty blur but of coz with shutter of 1/20.

Steamboat again at Hometown Steamboat Restaurant Genting Klang

This was happen last 2 weeks ago and invited by Jen. Thankz for Eugene fetching me over there ya!! This was my first time to come to this Steamboat Restaurant. Overall was quite ok!!! the soup wast tasty and the ingredient was fresh.

This was like a blogger gathering to me too, people involved were Jen, Rames, Hiew, Adrian, Kate, Hikaru, Jacklyn, Jed, Eri, Eugene, Joshua and crystal.

I met a new blogger there Joshua aka Fazai38 and his beloved Crystal. He sitting besize me and worry about the food would not enough for me so keep on putting food on my bowl, Btw Eugene and Eri did the same things….so paiseh can.lolz…Thankz anyway:D. Before I eat I tot it was a buffet type steamboat told informed by eugene earlier, so I let my stomach empty from the afternoon. Btw, still full stomach in the end by fill in all the mee hun and yee mee.

Nikonian Photography Talks and Tips at IKANO : Day 1

Last Saturday I rushing back home from Pudu due to this Nikonian Photography talks and tips at Ikano. I went back home Sri Petaling and catch up with Nkwai, Anston and Ahkwong. We reach there late by 3 pm something, we miss a lot of talks by the Pros there but at least I still manage to linsten one of my favourite talk there about Travel Photography to India. The talks was not so interesting but the Photo slide show was amazing. He mention us about what lens we should use during the travel session.

It was an hour talk there, I found many people was quite sleepy and boring there…lolz but I am so attracted by the slide photos about the colors of landscape, potrait and composition. After the talk end, and the main part begin. It was the Model shooting session, everybody was busy on the camera settings. So I let the the following photos explain all.

Very very late Birthday post for Nkwai

This post has almost delay for two weeks already..lolz..sorry yar nkwai. We have our dinner at Yuen Steamboat located at Bandar Sunway. I sure many know this place because of their famous BBQ chicken wings . I took very less picture during this session due to my the sticky and oily hands, I just so hungry at the moment.

After this session we move to the second round at OUG dessert house and enjoy my favourite Mango Sai Mai lou.

Get tired for camhore… try to play some different stuff too.. Okay My post end up here and wish everybody have a happy weekend.

Finally I belong to the DSLR family

This was my babe FZ50 which has been accompany with me for 2 years. It help me a lot during event, wedding shooting and travelling although it was not a DSLR but it still keeping come up with brilliant results. Nothing much to complain about it with Leica lense, Mega OIS stabilizer, F2.8-3.7, range from 35mm-420mm (no crop) with superb macro shot. If this spec go to DSLR lens it might cost you a great amount.

Too bad my DMC FZ50 cannot work well during low light condition and ISO handling. To boost up the effect I have bought myself a olympus Flash FL36 which can fit into my Lumix hot shoe. Panasonic external flash light was too expansive that time so no choice i have to switch to Olympus flash.As a result, It really enhance the image during night event while wedding and party. But another thing that my camera cannot do well is the bokeh and depth of field.

Times go by, I taken many shooting during events, fashion show, travelling….. People with big machine, lens that long like elephant nose always looking me like weird. I start to wondering miny camera cannot shot issit?!! Some people (not mean all)with DSLR might go infront my shooting area and blocking me, it make me feel like ” We were pros so we have the right to go infront, Excuse me digital camera. WTF!!!”

This is a worst incident I have face so far, I went for a corporate shooting session. After the task finish. The people incharge come infront me and said that he expect people will use pro camera to shoot but not digital camera please. I refuse to talk to the guy who incharge and directly went to the boss show the pictures and let him to decide, lucky it past…phew. Even My fren Ahkwong told me that nowadays people were realistic and I can’t get a good paid if I still continue using prosumers camera.

At the end, I really struggle to this Canon EOS 40D. It was the best price and best buy in the market now as semi pro levels. I heard many guides from my frends, and they suggest me Nikon, Sony, Canon. Sales person in the camera shop try to approach me with Olympus and even tell me that Crop factor 2 is best technologies now….lolz. Anyhow, my dream machine is Leica but really expansive lor..

By the way, so poor now. I just bought the body only. Super Thankz for Eugene and nkwai temporaly borrow me kit lense. I try to get some nice lens asap. An advance, eugene really help me a lot for getting this body.
